This section comprises the database for the social cash transfer scheme as well as different reports that document the M&E system and evaluate the feasibility, effectiveness and the impact of the social cash transfer scheme
Database prototype
The database facilitates the administration of the scheme and helps the Ministry to monitor progress over time. There are a number of predesigned reports for 1) payment orders & receipts, 2) summary information on characteristics of beneficiary households, 3) summary information on CWACs/ACCs, 4) number of rejected households and reason for rejection, 5) health statistics, 6) education statistics

Monitoring activities & reports
The schemes internal monitoring system involves all levels of the Department of Social Welfare, from headquarters down to community level. All levels are expected to make regular monitoring visits and document findings of these visits in bi-monthly monitoring reports (for a detailed look into the system, see the manual of operations
In additional to the operational monitoring, impact is also monitored. This is done through CARE international using the impact monitoring team which is tasked with monitoring the impacts of the transfers at household level through regular expenditure tracking
Monitoring Report - 2nd edition (Dec 2005)
The Monitoring Report analyzes whether the scheme is cost effective, workable and if at all it has had any impact on education, health, nutrition, the livelihoods and social status of beneficiary households as well as an impact on the wider community. The report details the methodology employed and it also contains a summary of the baseline survey carried out in September and December 2006.
Internal Monitoring Report
The report reviews the use of cash transfers received by beneficiaries and aims to establish the pattern in the use of transfers. The period under review is January 2004 to April 2005.
